ABOUT US

The Tamilnadu Resource Team (TNRT) is a coalition of NGOs, researchers, and development activists committed to institutionalizing participatory methods in all stages of rural and urban development. TNRT emerged from over three decades of participatory development work in Tamil Nadu. It focuses on enabling people’s collectives to assert their rights and shape inclusive development.

TNRT was initially established as the Tamilnadu Coordination Committee (TNCC) in 1989. In 1995, it was legally registered as TNRT under the Indian Trust Act. Since then, TNRT has launched three major developmental programs aimed at building grassroots democracy and participatory governance.
